Ok, here we go again. We have now started the Long Road World Tour 03/04. We are 2 weeks into the tour and 8 shows in. The band is now playing a 90 min set that includes 7 songs off the new album. As well the show itself has a brand new light show, set, and more pyro than ever. We just finished doing the state of Texas, which as always is way too much fun. We are now making our way East. The band recorded a segment with New Orleans Saints center Jerry Fontenot for Monday Night Football. Be sure to tune in on Nov 3rd during half time. Jerry got up there on Guitar and played Leader of Men, Someday, and How You Remind Me.
Be sure to watch and vote. In the meantime we will keep going for another few weeks before going back to Vancouver to shoot 2 videos at once. The next single will be Figured You Out, followed up by a to be determined. Returning on the road is our crazy road crew, always good times and a few bizarre stories. So please check back every week as we will start entering the pages in the Long Road Tour Diary.Chief
Sunday, 15 February 2004 Keep on Going
Well we just finished freezing across Canada to get to the East Coast. We are 4 weeks into the 10 week tour and having a total blast. We also just finished with Staind, who rocked every night and were the best guys to have out joining us. 3 Days Grace will continue on with us, then we will have Thornley and Default joining the second leg of the tour. The band also received 5 Juno nominations for this year's show in Edmonton, which they will be performing at. As for us out on the road, we just keep doing our thing and enjoying every minute of it. The support and appreciation from the fans everywhere has been amazing, and the band once again is so

So it all begins again...... Almost 2 years to the day we return to do an extensive 10 week tour of Canada. This time around we have Staind and 3 Days Grace on the bill. Both bands are absolutely amazing and we feel so honored to have them on the road with us. We just completed the first 4 shows in BC. Hitting Kelowna, Kamloops, Prince George, and then Vancouver. All the show have been amazing, and the crowds have been over the top. We could not ask for anything more, the support from the fans is unreal. The collection of Bra's and Panties that have been coming up on stage have reached an all new high.Today we are in Alberta to play Red Deer, it is -32, so you can imagine yes that is really really cold. But the show goes on and everyone is making the best out of it.
The tour will then head to Edmonton and Calgary after tonite.Due to the demand from the fans, the band is planning on coming back across Canada for some special return dates. The exact dates will be announced within the next week or so. So we hope to see you all really soon out of the cold and in the arena's. Chief/NB

Bras, Bras, And More Bras Well word is definately out now! At the beginning of this recent tour fans took to throwing bra's up on stage at the band. It really started out because of the song Figured You Out, but now seems to happen anytime during the show. So after a few shows the band decided to find a good use for all of the Bra's. They are going to keep them, autograph them, sell some on EBAY, and then donate the money to Charity. The rest of them that are collected will be sent to women's shelter programs and outreach centers. Also one bra will be signed and posted at the merch booth at every concert. Fans can bid on this item, the highest bidder at the end of the night will win the bra. Again all monies collected will be dontated to charities across Canada
thankful and so appreciative of everyone who has been coming out to the shows. Yes it has been freezing cold, but we are hoping to get some warmer weather ahead of us, in the meantime we will just tough it out. But thanks to all the fans for standing out in the cold to purchase tickets and come down to the show so early. Also we would like to thank everyone for selling out the second leg, once again in record time. We look forward to returning to alot of the same cities that we had such a great time the first time through. So we hope to see you all again on the way back
|

And just in case fans are wondering what cities are winning, here is where we are at. Calgary set the pace by throwing up 58, this held until Winnipeg, which took it to the low seventies. Then Sudbury took it away from then by throwing up 84. However the current champs set at over 90 in Quebec. So i will keep you posted. The band thanks everyone for the generosity and are glad that they are going to a great cause. Chief
Wednesday, 24 March 2004 : Bra Update!
Well there is a new record holder in town and i don't expect this one to be broken for a long time. Edmonton can truly call themselves the city of champions once again. They currently hold the bra toss record by throwing up over 300 bras during the show. So as of now the band has donated over 1500 bras to local women shelters across Canada. So thanks to all the fans who have so graciously thrown up their under garments. They are going to good use and the shelters have been extremely thankful. It also looks like we have survived the cold weather and are now getting into some warm weather, which is warmly welcomed. We are now in week 8 on the 10 week tour, and with 6 shows to go
we are in the home stretch. Then we have the Junos to attend, the band will be opening the show and are up for 5 awards. After that we will take 3 weeks off before going to Australia for 2 weeks. A huge summer tour is in the works and will be announced shortly, so please stay tuned for more information. The boys have been keeping busy playing hockey and some very intense poker tournaments with both the band and crew have taken place. So on we go, looking forward to a short break and then going overseas once again. There is a ton of stuff going on and a huge summer is coming, so more updates to follow shortly. A quick thanks to all the fans once again as The Long Road has now been certified 2x's platinum in the US and heading for 3.
Monday,10 May 2004 Nickelback inEurope
After a break from the Canadian tour, the band and crew packed up and went to Australia for a brief 5 show, 10 day tour. All the Arena's were sold out, and we had 3 Days Grace opening. We had a fantastic time and the Aussies really know how to enjoy a rock show. It was an awesome time for everyone and Nickelback will be returing to Australia sooner than later.

After this run ends on the 19th of this month, the band will make an appearance on the 20th at the Much Music Awards. Then head straight to the US to start pre production for the summer tour. The show will be the biggest show yet that Nickelback has ever carried. It will feature full Pyro of course, but will also have a full video wall as well. We look forward to a great summer of touring and can't wait to see you all at the shows.
Return to North America With one show left tonite in London, this will end the European tour, and mark the beginning of the summer tour with 3DD.The band has just completed 9 shows in Europe and now will fly into Toronto tomorrow for the Much Music Awards over the weekend. After the awards it will be straight to the US for pre-production with 3
Doors Down. The band did manage to play some festivals with 3 Doors Down while over in Germany, and it marks the beginning of what is going to be a crazy summer being back on the road with old friends. The band will play all summer through the US until the end of September, then possibly play some more overseas dates. That is all for now!
The Summer tour has officially begun! We just finished the first 2 shows of the summer co-headlining tour with 3 Doors Down and what a start. It is so good to be back on the road with family. Both bands started out over 4 years ago on the road co-headlining a club tour, and here we are now doing the same thing. Except this time it is the biggest rock tour of the summer. The show is complete with tons of pyro, video screens, lasers, and full stage sets from both bands. The tour also includes Puddle of Mudd who are fitting right in. Thornley is the opening band for the first half. They start the show with a 30 minute set, followed by Puddle who plays for 45 min. After that Nickelback and 3 Doors get on, playing full 65 minute sets each. It is a great start to what is going to be an amazing summer. Lots of stories will be shared from this summer tour, so stay tuned
After flying home for another short break we are now in Europe for a 9 show tour, before returning home to start the summer tour with 3 Doors Down and Puddle of Mudd. So far the first 2 shows in Germany were unreal. 75 000 at each show with the Red Hot Chili Peppers opening up. Now we are off to do dates in Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, and the UK.

The Last Leg! Thanks to everyone and all in the 3 Doors Down camp for making the summer co-headlining tour a total success. We wrapped up the tour with the boys and then took 2 weeks off. We are now gearing up for the last leg of the Long Road tour, which began 12 months ago. We will be out again with Puddle of Mudd, joined by Finger Eleven and then 12 Stones. This leg will end on Sept, 5th. After this we will take some much needed time off and then start work on the next album.

The Long Road Comes To An End! After another 12 months out on the road supporting The Long Road, the tour has come to an end. It was another amazing year, with the band selling out everyone they played and selling another 4 million plus records worldwide. The band will take the rest of the year off before starting the new album early next year. They already have lots of new material to record and are excited about doing another album that will be followed up by an extensive tour of the world. The band would like to extend their sincere thanks to everyone who worked with them over the past year and helped make The Long Road such a huge success
.We have the greatest Crew in the world and they of course never let us down, they make every night possible, so Extra Thanks to them for all their work. And of course this goes without saying, but the Biggest Thanks of ALL goes to the Fans, cause it is the truest statement of all, without the Fans there is no show, there is no music, there is no band. We look forward to recording and delivering the best album yet from Nickelback, so please look for it in late 05.
